Monday, April 13, 2015 - The first Oracle School Project (OSP) meeting. It took place on the Oracle campus right across the street from where our school was projected to be. I can still remember how excited and nervous I was to be chosen to participate in this program. Participants of the meeting included oracle employees, architects, administration, teachers, parents, and students. Meetings continued over the following six months. At these meetings we used the Design Thinking process to design a campus that fits all of the needs of current and future students in addition to the needs of the administration and teachers. We had many wild and crazy ideas including a petting zoo and a zipline to take you across campus. These crazy ideas helped get our creative juices flowing and allowed us to come upon our current iteration. After taking into consideration all of the requirements and constrictions we had, we began to draw up a plan for the building.

Towards the end of our Design process, I was chosen to discuss our project in an interview that would be featured in a video that showcases our process and work. This video is what is shown on news chanels and at community meetings. After maneuvering around countless obstacles thrown at us by the Redwood City community, both the Redwood City and San Mateo Board of Education and other organizations we finally started work on the physical campus.
